So I joined this Weight Loss Challenge about a week ago. My friend Chelsea Standring told me about it! It's great! I needed something to give me a little extra push to keep going with my weight loss journey so I can get to my ultimate goal.
It's through the Meltdown Challenge. Here is the website: https://www.meltdownchallenge.com/, and it's been really fun so far! The challenge lasts 6 weeks. I actually joined a few days late, which is ok, I will just need to make sure I work really hard! And during those 6 weeks you can choose to either LOSE 6% of your body weight, or MAINTAIN within 1% of your body weight. So you can only lose or gain within 1% of your weight during that time.
So whatever your current weight goals are, they have an option for you! It cost $20 to join the challenge. And then at the end of the period, whoever met their goal, then you get a portion of the pot. Right now the pot is at $84K! There are over 4,000 people during the challenge right now. You get daily readings where you can learn different things about weight loss, nutrition, exercising, etc. And you can also get points each day with reading those emails, watching videos they post, doing a food and exercise log, and motivating the other people on your team!
The challenge ends the end of October, and I have until then to lose 10 pounds! It seems like a lot since I have been averaging about 1 pound a week, so I have been trying to workout more and be really strict on my calories. This week I lost a little over 2 pounds, so that was good! Hopefully I can keep it going like that! I will let you know what my results are at the end !
One thing they have told us to do is drink LOTS of water! I usually try to drink 8 cups of water, but they say to try to drink 100 ounces! It is hard some days, but that can really help if you do it! So that will be my goal this week!
