My WHY

During my pregnancy with Lyla, I gained probably about 40 pounds. I had definitely not planned to gain that much, LOL. I would like to say that it was all baby weight, but Lyla only weighed 6 pounds 12 oz when she was born. ;) I had good intentions before I got pregnant to eat right all throughout my pregnancy, and workout as much as possible, but that definitely did NOT happen. I was super sick through almost the whole thing, tired, working out was difficult, and salads and vegetables made me sick just thinking about them! And also, I blew up like a balloon! I was so swollen all over, my feet, ankles, face, hands, EVERYWHERE!
 
 
After Lyla made her appearance, I knew I probably wouldn't go right back down to my pre-pregnancy weight very quickly. I was down about 30 pounds with 10 to go about a month afterwards, but then I gained 12 pounds back!!! Ahh!!! I couldn't believe it. Nursing did not help me lose weight like I had heard everyone say it would. I was also nervous about dieting cause I didn't want to lose my milk. This is me right after having Lyla.
 



So, the beginning of this year, I decided I needed to do something about it, change my lifestyle, change my body. I started working out regularly again. Its nice that my gym has a nursery that I can put Lyla in while I workout. I got back on myfitnesspal to keep track of my calories. I started feeling better about myself. I did TaiSlim for a few months which helped me lose my first 10 pounds. I did a couple programs from Dr. Oz which helped me lose a few more. My trick was being able to keep it off the same time I was losing it. Sure, I could lose weight super fast by not eating very much, but that's not the healthy way! When I hit a plateau I try to change something, whether it's lowering my calorie intake, increasing my weights, or lengthen my workout time.

I joined ItWorks the beginning of June of this year. I had heard of the company long before. I had known people who were a part of it, and had seen awesome results from their products. I wanted to try a wrap, but just hadn't done it yet. By then I had already lost and kept off 15 pounds so far, which was great! But I still had a ways to go. My friend Cherice Pickett invited me to come try a wrap with her. She had a family member in town from Phoenix who sold them, so I said yes! I went with her, put the wrap on, waited 45 minutes while drinking lots of water, and saw my results. They were awesome! I had lost almost 4 inches around my stomach, smoothed out my skin texture, and lightened up my stretchmarks!
I was sold. I went home and signed up as a distributor. Michelle has been an awesome trainer and has helped me a ton to build my business.

Since then, I have done about 6 wraps, lost inches, tightened and toned my stomach more, I drink the Greens everyday, use the defining gel in between wraps, and have lost another 10 pounds! It has changed my life and I am so glad I signed up with the company. I love helping other people change their life as well, and I get to make money on the side while I am at home with Lyla!
So that is my WHY. Why I joined ItWorks. I wanted to lose weight. I wanted to get healthier, happier. I wanted to be able to be home more with Lyla, and help others change their life for the better as well! www.megskinnywraps.com
